Noblesville Millers 2026 football preview

Head coach John Hebert, along with his great coaching staff, has what it takes to get the Noblesville back on the right track on the gridiron. Hebert was 82-39 at Carmel before coming to Noblesville. His teams at Carmel won six sectionals, five regional, three semi-states and two state championships (2016 and 2019).

The Millers are doing everything they can to right the ship on the gridiron. Last season, Noblesville struggled putting points on the scoreboard. Averaging 11 points and giving up 31 per game defensively resulted in a 1-9 record.

Friday night’s season opener at home with Indianapolis Arsenal Tech will be the first-ever between the Millers and Titans. A Week 2 road trip north up I-69 takes Noblesville to Homestead in search of revenge for last year’s loss.

Hoosier Crossroads Conference play starts in Week 3 on the road at Fishers. On Sept. 11, Noblesville hosts #2 Westfield for the Midland Rail Trophy. Week 5 is a trip to Boone County to face the Zionsville Eagles on Sept. 18.

Three of the final home games are on their home turf at Beaver Materials Stadium against Franklin Central on Sept. 25, Oct. 2 versus #8 Hamilton Southeastern. On Oct. 9, they hit the road for the final time of the regular season at Brownsburg. Then, the Millers host the Avon Orioles on Oct. 16.

Senior starting quarterback Windsor Hutchins is now in his second season. Hutchins completed 60.7 percent of this passes (91-150) for 772 yards and 3 TDs as a junior.

Fellow senior Noah Shinkle plans to increase his workload in the backfield. Shinkle ran for 511 yards on 129 carries and scored 7 touchdowns.  

Junior Alfred Alwine and senior Cody Prater will be Hutchins' go-to receivers. Each had 20 receptions. Alwine led the Millers with 284 yards and a pair of TDs, while Prater had 203 yards and one score. 

Seniors Austin Kincaide and Praise Oladipupo are the top two defenders returning. Kincaide had 119 tackles (and 2 sacks) and Oladipupo 61 last season, along with two passes deflected.  

Senior Caden Lydle is back to perform the kicking and punting duties. Lydle made 12 of 13 PATs and was a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals with a long of 43 yards.

Fishers Tigers 2026 football preview

Head coach Curt Funk is quietly making his mark at Fishers. Playing one of the tougher schedules in the state and being a member of the Hoosier Crossroads Conference, the Tigers were able to break through and win two consecutive sectionals in 2024 and 2025. Funk is 38-29 in his first six and 115-65 overall in 16 years, spending his first 10 at Mississinewa. After two straight sectional championships, Fishers looks to get beyond the regional for the first time since 2010 when they won the Class 5A state championship over Lawrence Central (38-19). The task to advance beyond 6A Sectional 3 has grown a little taller this year with the sectional realignment. Sectional 3 might be considered the toughest 6A sectional now, since it has the Tigers, Hamilton Southeastern, Carmel and Westfield. Hamilton Heights Huskies 2026 football preview

By Craig Adkins Husky alum Caleb Small is back in Arcadia to take over the program as head coach. Small has two years of head coaching experience under his belt and a 13-9 record. He spent 2024 at Northwestern, going 9-2. Last year, Small was at Kokomo and guided the Wildkats to a 4-7 mark. The Huskies are in search of their first sectional title since 2012. That season, current Assistant Principal Mitch Street was the head coach and led Heights to the 3A state championship game before falling to Bishop Chatard, 30-13. Hamilton Heights finished 4-6 in 2025, bowing out in an all-county matchup with Guerin Catholic in the first round of the sectional. The Huskies start things off on the road tonight at Lapel. Next week on Aug. 28, Heights welcomes a first-time opponent. London (OH) comes to Arcadia. Just west of Columbus, the Red Raiders went 12-1 (5-0 in the Central Buckeye Conference).
